What an agency is really paying for today

Most agency websites cost more than their invoice says. The cost is in the time, the drift and the quotes that never start.

  1. The agency pays for a site and still has to run it.

What it costs. Someone in the office owns the builder, the plugins and the renewals, which means the site is maintained in the gaps between everything else, which means it is not.

  2. Design was bought once, in year one.

What it costs. The site froze at the moment it launched. New lines, new carriers and new producers were bolted on in whatever style the intern had, and the whole thing drifted.

  3. The quote request is the weakest page on the site.

What it costs. It is the page that pays for all the others, and it was built last, from a default form, with fields nobody questioned.

  4. Search visibility stops at the agency name.

What it costs. People searching for the coverage you write in the town you write it never see you, because there is no page about that coverage in that town.

  5. Nobody can say what the site costs.

What it costs. Hosting here, a domain renewal there, a developer invoice when something breaks. The number is never known and never planned, so it is never improved.

Editorial Six kinds

The kinds of articles we write for an agency

Each runs 2,500 to 3,200 words, opens by answering its own title, and cites its sources. You can approve every piece before it publishes.

  1. 01

    Coverage explainers

What a business owners policy includes, how umbrella sits over auto and home, what disability income actually replaces.

  2. 02

    State and regulation guides

Workers comp thresholds, minimum auto limits, Medicare enrollment windows, cited to the regulator and updated when rules change.

  3. 03

    Industry pages in article form

What a restaurant, a roofing contractor or a trucking fleet usually needs, written for the owner rather than the underwriter.

  4. 04

    Claims and service walkthroughs

How to read a declarations page, what to do after a loss, how a certificate of insurance works.

  5. 05

    Life event pieces

Buying a first home, hiring a first employee, a child getting a license, turning 65. The moments that start a search.

  6. 06

    Comparisons and definitions

Replacement cost against actual cash value, admitted against non-admitted, term against whole life, in plain language with sources.

Corrections

Revisions, without the meter running

  • 5 revisions a month included on every plan, each one any size.
  • Then a flat $20 per additional revision, no cap, no hourly billing anywhere.
  • Every revision completed within 2 to 5 working days of receiving what we need.
  • Requested from your client portal, the same place you raise a support ticket. Unused revisions do not roll over.

Standing order

Weekly detail updates, on top

The small facts an agency accumulates. Email them as they happen; they are live within the week and never count as a revision.

  • Producer joins or leaves
  • New carrier appointment
  • Carrier dropped
  • Holiday hours
  • New office address
  • Claims number changes
  • New line goes live
  • Appetite change
  • License or designation added
  • Community event
  • Team photo swap
  • Disclaimer wording update

Four steps to a live site

The build fee is the last step, not the first.

  1. Sheet 01Draft

    Pay the first monthly invoice

That is the whole commitment to start. No build fee, no deposit. The plan begins and a designer at the studio is assigned to your build.

  2. Sheet 02Copy

    Onboarding form, then one call

Fill in the form with what you have; anything missing follows later by email or a portal ticket. One call fills the gaps and confirms the lines, carriers and offices.

  3. Sheet 03Proof

    We design, then we build

The brand system comes first, then the pages, then the coverage finder configured for your lines. You review a private preview. Your current site stays live throughout.

  4. Sheet 04Edition

    Live, then the build fee

On launch day the domain switches, old URLs redirect and the sitemap goes to Google. Once you have approved the live site, the $697 build fee is invoiced. Weekly updates begin the same week.

Best for. Agencies that want a designed site, the coverage finder and steady upkeep, and already answer their own phone.

Within the first month the agency has a site that reads as its own brand, a page for every line it writes, quote requests landing in the AMS with the line tagged, and two cited articles a week building search visibility for its coverages.

  2. State 03

    Edition

    Everything, plus the Content Engine

$647/ monthplus $697 one-time build fee, invoiced after launchLive in 15 days

Best for. Multi-line and commercial specialists who want to be visible beyond their own site: social, reels and Google, without hiring for it.

Everything in Proof, plus three articles a week turned into three social image posts and two reels, and a managed Google Business Profile for each office, all in the same brand system as the site.

Content Engine included: 3 articles, 3 social posts and 2 reels a week.

All sales are final. The only refund is a duplicate or incorrect charge from our billing, reported within 30 days. Cancel any month by email at least 2 business days before your next invoice, during business hours (9:00 to 17:00 Central, Monday to Friday, excluding US public holidays); a weekend email does not count toward a Monday or Tuesday invoice. Full terms are in the refund policy and terms and conditions.

Pricing questions, answered

What do I actually pay, and when?

You pay the monthly fee for the tier you choose up front: $127 for Draft, $267 plus AI usage for Proof, or $647 for Edition. The $697 one-time build fee is invoiced only after your site is live and you have approved it. There are no other fees: hosting, domain, updates and articles are inside the monthly.

What exactly do I get for the monthly fee?

A designed, fully managed insurance agency website: a brand system set for your agency, a page for every line you write and every office you run, the coverage finder feeding your AMS or CRM, weekly detail updates, 2 researched articles a week, Cloudflare hosting and monitoring. Proof adds the AI Engine and Edition adds the Content Engine. The only thing not in the monthly fee is the $697 one-time build fee, invoiced after launch.

Is this a template with our logo dropped in?

No. Every site starts from a design system we set for your agency: type scale, color, spacing, imagery direction and the layout of a coverage page. The structure underneath is shared across our builds because it is fast and proven, but what a visitor sees is composed for your agency and your lines, and it stays consistent from the home page to the last carrier page.

What counts as a revision, and what happens after five?

A revision is any change request, with no limit on how much goes into one: a new producer, three carrier logos, a rewritten commercial page and a new office can all be one request. 5 are included every month, requested from your client portal. After that each additional revision is a flat $20, with no cap and no hourly billing anywhere. Unused revisions do not roll over. Every revision is completed within 2 to 5 working days.

What are weekly detail updates?

The small, constant changes an agency accumulates: a producer joins or leaves, a carrier appointment changes, hours shift for a holiday, a new line goes live, a claims number changes. You send them in an email whenever they happen and we apply them within the week, on top of your revisions. It is how the site stays accurate without anyone at the agency logging in.

What are the articles about, and who writes them?

Our writers research and write 2 long-form articles a week on Draft and Proof, and 3 on Edition, each 2,500 to 3,200 words. Topics are drawn from the lines you write and the questions your producers hear: what a certificate of insurance is, how a BOP differs from a package policy, what to bring to a Medicare review. Every figure cites a real source and nothing is written as advice for a specific person.

What does the AI Engine on Proof actually do?

It answers the phone, the site chat, SMS, Messenger and Instagram with an agent that knows your lines, hours, offices and how you like a quote request taken. It collects the details, books a call with the right producer and hands off anything that sounds like advice to a person. You get a call-analysis PDF for every conversation. We file the A2P 10DLC registration so texting works from day one.

How is AI usage billed on Proof?

The Proof monthly fee is $267 plus AI usage. Usage is the cost of minutes, messages and carrier fees the providers charge us, passed through at cost and billed monthly in arrears. There is no markup and no minimum. A quiet month costs less than a busy one, and the call-analysis PDFs show you exactly what the agent handled.

Where is the site hosted, and what does managed mean?

On Cloudflare, close to your visitors, with SSL, backups, security headers and uptime monitoring included and nothing itemized. Managed means we keep it running: framework updates, dependency updates, performance checks and fixes happen without you noticing. Nobody at the agency logs in to a builder, installs a plugin or renews a certificate. If something breaks because of our work, we fix it at no charge.

Do we keep our existing domain?

Yes. Point your current domain at the new site and every old URL that matters is redirected so rankings carry over. If you do not have one yet, we register one for you free through Cloudflare Registrar or Spaceship, in your name, for as long as the plan is active. Either way the domain is always yours, never ours.

Can we cancel, and what happens if we do?

Yes, by email, reaching us at least 2 business days before your next invoice date, during business hours of 9:00 to 17:00 Central, Monday to Friday, excluding US public holidays. A message outside those hours counts from the start of the next business day, so an email sent over the weekend does not give 2 business days notice for a Monday or Tuesday invoice. Cancel with proper notice and the site stays live and managed to the end of the paid month, then we export your content and articles and hand over your domain. Give late notice and the next invoice is still charged, with cancellation taking effect at the end of that month. All sales are final: the current and any prior month is not refunded, and if you cancel before the build starts the build fee is never charged. Full detail is in the refund policy.

Can we start on Draft and move to Proof or Edition later?

Yes, and most agencies do. Moving up takes effect on your next billing date; the AI Engine or Content Engine is switched on within the week. Moving down works the same way. There is no second build fee because the site itself does not change, only what runs alongside it.
